ABOUT ME

I have a varied background, from working as a legal assistant, first-responder, ER and ICU nurse, college and high school teacher, video game streamer, mental health coach, to finally a mental health counselor. One thing that’s been consistent is the value of interpersonal relationships forged throughout my careers. People are the connecting factor in all of my work. Winding roads sometimes teach us the most about ourselves! I love to help people find their path. I love video games (mostly League of Legends), to sew (quilts, needle-point, costumes/cosplay), draw and paint, play roleplaying games with my friends, read and write novels (mostly the fantasy genre), and hang out with my family (dogs included!).

MY THERAPY APPROACH

Using my previous career experience in nursing, education, and mental health coaching, I aim to help clients find balance, peace, self-appreciation, and empowerment. We are all an intersection of our beliefs, values, and culture. By integrating these aspects into a resilient and consistent idea of self, we can tackle all life throws at us. Our initial sessions will involve getting to know you better. We’ll explore your family, environment, work, school, friends, interests, hobbies, and concerns. We’ll work to unravel your beliefs and values, goals, and trajectory for achieving those goals. Working together, we’ll form a realistic and achievable plan for building resilient responses to stress and help you embrace yourself with care.
