I received my Master of Arts in Counseling at Oakland University. I have worked in the human services field for eight years. I currently work as a therapist in a residential program treating individuals with co-occurring disorders.

I have primarily worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, which has allowed me to gain a extensive experience with many different diagnoses and presenting needs. I also have much experience working with individuals struggling with addiction. I believe addiction to be a co-occurring disorder; whereas, I am interested in finding the root cause of the addiction as well as finding positive coping skills to diminish current substance use.

I believe it is important to listen to people with unbiased and non-judgmental ears. I believe it is important for people to be heard and understood as many people may not have the support system to understand what they may be going through. I look forward in supporting others, improving their overall well-being, and make people feel they are not alone

My Therapy Approach

In my practice, I take a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including addictions, anger management, anxiety (such as GAD, panic attacks, health anxiety, and social or speech anxiety), bipolar disorder, and depression, including postnatal experiences. I also support individuals facing grief, PTSD, relationship or marriage issues, parenting struggles, and family transitions like divorce. I work with clients managing eating and food-related concerns, self-esteem, sexual identity and expression, stress, procrastination, and sleep or weight issues. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where we can explore what’s getting in the way of your well-being and develop personalized tools to help you heal, grow, and thrive.

Credential Type: License Type: LCSW, CAS,CGT, License State: Virginia Therapy I Offer Tele-health, Individual, Group, Family My Languages English Schedule Today Click Here to Make Appointment ABOUT ME I am a fully licensed professional counselor.
